“It’s time to get back to work,” Stiles slams Ford for delaying return of the legislature until April 14

QUEEN’S PARK – Marit Stiles, Leader of the Official Opposition NDP, questioned Doug Ford’s decision to delay the legislative session till April 14:

“We are in a moment like no other, one that demands unity and urgency. Trump’s chaotic decisions on tariffs means more anxiety and uncertainty for Ontario. The legislature should be recalled now so that MPPs can get to work protecting workers and communities with a strong response to these tariffs.

“We need Team Ontario, not just Team Ford. By delaying the return of the legislature at this critical time, Doug Ford is shutting out the voices of communities from every corner of the province, voices that deserve to be heard. At a minimum, the Premier needs to bring together an all-party working group on the tariff response.

“It’s time to get back to work, and fight for every single job and defend every single worker.”
